About Stoneley

Hampshire-based, built on one idea: every scaffold has a name attached to it.

Stoneley Scaffolding is run by Chris Stoneley out of a yard on Hayling Island, Hampshire. We serve domestic and commercial projects across the South of England — houses and house extensions, industrial units, listed-building restoration, and the occasional church.

The business was built on one principle: no sub-contracting out, no agency crews, no anonymous site labour. Every operative who walks on to a Stoneley site is on our PAYE, holds a current CISRS card, and knows our standards. That's how we keep quality tight and accountability clear — when something's wrong, we can fix it fast.

How we work

We quote in writing, with drawings, dates, and a fixed price — not a "from £X" estimate that balloons on day one. Public liability insurance certs go out with every quote. Site-specific method statements and risk assessments are drawn up before a tube goes up. Every scaffold gets a Scafftag on completion and weekly written inspections afterwards.

Who we work with

We take on small domestic jobs (single-lift access for a roof repair) through to multi-floor commercial contracts. Main contractors, architects, and builders we've worked with repeatedly know they can hand over scope and walk away — we'll design it, price it, put it up, and inspect it without needing to be chased.

Based in Hampshire, working across the South

Hayling Island is our home yard — so Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey and Dorset are daily. We'll travel further for the right commercial and industrial jobs: West London, Wiltshire, Berkshire. Ask — the answer's almost always yes.
